PATs, PAT Testing or Portable Appliance Testing are all one of the same.
A series of inspections and tests on Portable Appliances carries out by competent person(s). The general ethos is if it plugs into the main electricity supply (Socket) and used by members of the public (Employees) then the appliance should have and will be subject to ongoing PAT Testing.
Prevention of personal injury and damage to company premises created by faulty electrical appliances are subject to risk assessment by the duty holder within the workplace.
